Issued by Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board

Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST)

Get an alcohol server permit (Class 12 or Class 13)
If you have been hired to serve alcohol, you are required to obtain and provide proof of a Class 12 permit if you are 21 years of age or older or a Class 13 if you are between the ages of 18 to 21.

EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS

We strive to provide schedules to staff a month at a time to support everyone’s need to plan out their daily activities both at work and with their families.

For this reason, Mast 12 cards must be valid for the upcoming month a month prior. This helps us to ensure all staff will be properly licensed at the time of their upcoming shift(s).

See New Hire & Renewal Requirements.

NEW HIRE REQUIREMENT:

As a new hire hired to serve alcohol, you have 10 days from the time of hire to obtain and provide proof of your MAST Permit so we can include you in the following month’s schedule as being a valid permit holder.

LICENSE RENEWAL REQUIREMENT:

Employees are required to provide proof of renewal by the 25 day of the month prior to your cards set expiration for scheduling purposes. If your Mast 12 card is set to expire in the month of the schedule released, you will be removed from the schedule until you can provide proof of renewal.
